Fabulous day for walking. I slowed down my pace. Never going to use map my walk because of the split times and the challenges they set in my head!
Leaving Logroño the first 10 kilometres just flew by because of the wonderful park and surrounding landscape.
I met a Spanish who lived in Navarrete, he liked to walk this section of the Camino talking with the pilgrims to keep his English good. He was very happy to share his passion for the region and its history.
Majestic mountain scenery framing the walk amongst the vines, with the sweet smell of fennel wafting in the air. Just lovely.
Nájera lovely old Spanish town roots deeper than its history! I didn’t get much chance to have look around as I treated myself to a swim, jacuzzi and stretched in the sauna at the local municipal swimming pool. Best ever 6 euros and an hour and a half I’ve ever spent. Bliss, bliss and even more blissfulness. I feel fabulous darlings.
Met Carol Anne and Gary as I was going out to look for dinner. We ended up as a group of 6 for dinner at La Mercier fabulous evening good food, good wine and great company.
I had more technical difficulties with the phone and watch battery life! How we rely on such technology. I just kept looking for the signs, going back to trusting the yellow arrows and the process of following the signs!
Off to bed early start in the morning albeit not as long walk as today and yesterday!
Buen Camino 😘
